Does anyone have a contact for Peter Davies of Brislington?

During the time of compiling the account of Brislington in World War 1, Mr PETE DAVIES contacted me and visited me several times regarding his ancestral family, VEAL, of Brislington.

Private Frederick William Veal survived the First World War but shortly afterwards while still serving in France tragically died in 1919 in a drowning accident. His comrade Corporal Hubert Dingley bravely tried to save him without success.  Fred Veal’s father, also Frederick, wrote to Corporal Dingley thanking him for his action, also with concern for Dingley’s own welfare. The letter from Fred Veal to Corporal Dingley has been found among his papers by Dingley’s great granddaughter who has recently contacted me.

I was excited at the thought of being able to reunite Mr Davies with this poignant part of his family history. Sadly, I do not have his address. His landline telephone number is now defunct. He was not online then, and we communicated by phone or visit. I last met him about four or five years ago in Wick Rd Library, so he may still be a member there. I am pursuing this and other avenues to try to find Pete.
